Welcome to Thrift
City online! Thrift City
is the New Life Mission thrift store and has been in operation since 2001. We
have found it to be a great tool to bring in revenue to fund our many different
programs as well as a training ground for the many men and women residents who
come through our programs at the Outreach Centre & House of Ruth.
In August of 2007 we expanded and started another thrift store on the north
shore to meet the growing demands of our one thrift store; so through the
generosity of donations from the community Thrift City North was born. This has
been a very exciting endeavor as it means another way for us to gain
sustainability and provide yet another training venue.
Our main store located at 342
Seymour Street carries a large selection of men,
women and children's clothing, various household goods, furniture, books and
much more, while Thrift City North is specialized to furniture, electronics and
small & large appliances.
Are you downsizing, spring cleaning or getting new furniture? Thrift City
will pickup your household goods, furniture and large appliances. We rely solely
on donations for our thrift stores to function and appreciate the generosity of
those who give. If you would like to schedule a pickup please contact our store
at 372-2273.
